SALI Celebrates 10 Years of Saving Lives
In the heart of western Ukraine, nestled among the peaceful hills of Sataniv, Save a Life International marked a deeply moving milestone. Ten years of faithful, life-saving ministry. From June 26–29, 2025, 127 staff, volunteers, and partners from 11 Ukrainian Life Centers, our team from Poland, and our colleagues from the USA gathered for our 10th Anniversary Conference at the Sunny Provence Resort in Khmelnytskyi region.
This was the fourth SALI conference held in Ukraine during the ongoing Russian invasion. It was a powerful testament to resilience, unity, and God’s unfailing protection. Even as air raid sirens sounded one night and drones flew uncomfortably close, our team stood strong in prayer, some taking shelter, others comforting one another. In the words of one attendee, “Fear did not win. Love did.”
Ten Years of Life-Changing Impact
This gathering was more than a celebration. It was a sacred moment to reflect on the countless lives touched by your support. In the past 10 years, together we have:
1,446 babies born to mothers who chose life
4,174 mothers received counseling, care, and crisis support
2,179 packages delivered to women and families in need
3,764 food kits distributed across war-torn communities
18,788 kg of clothing given with dignity and compassion
These numbers represent lives; each one a story of hope, courage, and transformation.
At the opening session, Nadia Gordunskyi, SALI President and Founder, delivered a heartfelt message:
“We began with a dream — that no woman would have to walk through crisis alone. Today, that dream is alive in every center, every volunteer, every life saved. Even during war, we carry light into darkness, and we are not giving up.”
Her words brought both tears and renewed strength to those in the room, many of whom have served on the frontlines of crisis intervention, trauma recovery, and war relief efforts.
Together Toward the Future
This was a time of reflection and also vision. We held strategic sessions, practical workshops, and powerful times of worship and prayer. Leaders shared experiences from across Ukraine and Poland, encouraging one another to dream even bigger: expanding our programs, deepening our support for survivors of abuse, and investing in long-term healing and restoration.
Despite the surrounding conflict, God’s mercy covered us, and His love through people, like you, continues to overcome darkness with light.
